2. Another mentor for the young ones

The Cleveland Cavaliers are not championship contenders this season. As a result, this is a great opportunity to give the young players some valuable playing time and watch them evolve. Collin Sexton, Cedi Osman and Ante Zizic all seem like possible starters for the team, as their performances in NBA Summer League did not go unnoticed.

Channing Frye can be of great assistance there, as his experience obtained from his 13-year-old NBA career could help those guys really step up their games and give a sad fanbase something to be excited about.

Channing Frye has played over 850 games over the course of his career and has an exceptional read for the game, something that most young prodigies don’t have. Frye will likely be featured in the second unit, meaning he will spend quite a bit of time on the court with those young guys — something that can impact their games.
