With the Orlando Magic finishing 2018 NBA Summer League play on July 13, let’s take a look at five takeaways from their time in Las Vegas.

With a heartbreaking last-second loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday, the Orlando Magic’s 2018 NBA Summer League session ended. While wins in Las Vegas were not plentiful for Orlando, a lot of questions were answered that needed to be.

Mohamed Bamba and Jonathan Isaac were special, and the potential flashed by both of them separately — and when on the floor together — was incredibly promising. Also, the defense was impressive and the length the Magic have put a premium on this summer was on fully display.

We also got a clearer view of some players from the Lakeland Magic, like Rodney Purvis and Troy Caupain, in a more competitive environment.

Who showed up, who disappointed and what should be looked at moving forward will all be broken down with these five takeaways from the Orlando Magic’s time in NBA Summer League.
