With 2018 NBA free agency winding down, the Los Angeles Lakers appear near done with their offseason spending spree. However, upon further review, they still have the room exception to work with to continue building around LeBron James.
It originally seemed like they used it on Lance Stephenson, who signed a one-year, $4.5 million deal. There’s still plenty of talent out there for the signing. Most of the big names have already been scooped up, leaving nothing but aging stars, underwhelming youngsters and overlooked veterans on the market. While that might not inspire much confidence, many of the players still available could help the Lakers compete in 2018-19.
