2. Antonio Blakeney shines

After winning the G League Rookie of the Year with averages of 32.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists, Antonio Blakeney came to Las Vegas looking to earn a spot on the Bulls’ roster.

Safe to say, it appears the former Louisiana State guard has a pretty good shot after putting up 21.0 points per game in five SL outings.

This is a guy with great quickness and the ability to operate out of the pick-and-roll — a must for today’s NBA point guards. His play was so good that Kevin Durant took to Instagram to question why Blakeney hadn’t yet been signed.

With more and more NBA players having G League experience, it’s become fairly normal to see a guy with the backstory of Blakeney have success at the highest level.

Having said that, the Bulls have yet to make a decision on the Vegas standout, but given his play over the past couple of weeks, it’d be foolish for Chicago not to at least give him an opportunity for the upcoming season.

After all, Blakeney is clearly no stranger to beating the odds.
