3. Chandler Hutchison flashes potential

Rarely is any draft pick guaranteed to have success in his NBA career. The league has seen No. 1 picks flame out rather quickly, while just recently, a former 60th overall pick was a legitimate MVP candidate.

At a certain point, drafting comes down to luck, and it appears like the Bulls got some in the form of Chandler Hutchison.

Following his senior season at Boise State where he averaged 20.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game, Chicago felt confident enough to take him late in the first round.

Obviously, what one accomplishes in Summer League is by no means a great indicator of his future in the NBA, but that doesn’t mean Hutchison’s 11.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game in Vegas should be ignored.

With an improving outside shot and the ability to rebound the basketball, don’t be surprised if Hutchison cracks the rotation early on for a Bulls team looking for all the young talent it can get.
