5. Turnovers a problem in SL

Like most youngsters with their first taste of NBA play, the Bulls struggled to take care of the basketball over the five games, amassing quite a number of turnovers. In three of their five matchups, Chicago wound up losing the turnover battle. In another, both teams sat dead even in that department.

This means that in just one game were the Bulls able to take care of the ball better than their opponents — a fact that can’t sit well for anyone rooting for them.

As a potential point guard on an NBA roster, taking care of the basketball is arguably the No. 1 trait coaches look for.

For the likes of Melo Trimble and Ryan Arcidiacono, allowing so many turnovers isn’t a good look, showing a possible inability to run the offensive system or make the correct pass at any given moment.

When it comes to point guard play, a guy can have all the skills he wants, but if he keeps wasting possessions, there’s a very high chance they won’t see the court much until they prove otherwise.
