The Chicago Bulls have agreed to a two-year deal with Jabari Parker. Here are three reasons this is a good move.

On the heels of a quiet start to the offseason, the Chicago Bulls have been very active over the past week or so. Fourth-year guard Zach LaVine is back in the fold, after he and the Bulls matched the Sacramento Kings’ offer on a four-year deal at $78 million.

After engaging in a three-team trade that enabled the team to part ways with backup point guard Jerian Grant, the Bulls rescinded the qualifying offer they made to David Nwaba. Next, they waived Julyan Stone – who they acquired via the trade with the Charlotte Hornets and Orlando Magic. The Bulls then proceeded to wave both Paul Zipser and Sean Kilpatrick as well.

Taking those decisions into consideration, it was expected that the Bulls were possibly positioning themselves to make at least one other major move during the offseason, and they did exactly that.

As first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Bulls have reached on an agreement with hometown product Jabari Parker. According to Woj, the two-year deal is worth $40 million, with a team option for the second year.

Given Parker’s history during his four years in the NBA, there are a number of questions that come with this decision. However, there are also a few positives as well.

Today, we will take a look at three reasons why this is a good move.
