2. Troy Brown Jr. shows why he was highly coveted

Troy Brown Jr. showed Wizards’ fans why he was such a coveted pick by the organization with his play in Summer League. The 15th overall selection in 2018 NBA Draft paid his dues with the Oregon Ducks this past season as a freshman. Now he has a chance to set the bar even higher as a rookie with the Washington Wizards.

Brown wasn’t exactly a pick fans embraced right away, but after the Summer League performance he put up, the sentiment should change soon. He averaged 18.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game on 43 percent shooting from the floor.

Brown scored in double figures in all five games he appeared in for the Wizards in Summer League. The 6’7″ wing showed flashes of his potential in Summer League. He didn’t shoot the ball particularly well from 3-point range but he still managed to score over 20 points in three of his five games.
