Lance Stephenson has an opportunity to be a part of something special in 2018-19. Here’s a look at how he’ll fit in with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Things are sure to change with the Los Angeles Lakers, particularly expectations, with the arrival of LeBron James and company. Along with James, JaVale McGee, Rajon Rondo and Lance Stephenson will join the Lakers’ roster as savvy veterans. Stephenson will go from a thorn in LeBron’s side into a quality reserve player on a championship-caliber squad.

Born Ready will sign a one-year deal worth $4.5 million entering the 2018-19 season, showing there’s more reward than risk in the move. Los Angeles will be the seventh NBA team Stephenson has played for as he enters his 10th season in the league.

Stephenson joins the Lakers after pushing the Cleveland Cavaliers to seven games in last year’s postseason during his second stint with the Indiana Pacers. He spent six total seasons with the Pacers, serving as their sixth man in his most recent stint. He’s also got some starting experience under his belt, making him just as dynamic as J.R. Smith used to be.

The potential is there for the Los Angeles Lakers to be a solid team. Here’s a look at how Lance Stephenson fits in the grand scheme.
