2. Legitimate floor-spacer

If you were to take a look back at Lopez’s first eight years in the league, the term floor-spacer would be the last phrase you would use to describe his game. In fact, during that stretch, Lopez attempted a total of 31 shots from beyond and the arc and converted just three of those attempts.

Fast forward to the present, and the story is much different. Over the last two seasons, not only has Lopez attempted 712 shots from 3-point range, he has connected on 246 of those attempts, which nets out to a 34.6 percent conversion rate.

Additionally, Lopez finished second in the NBA in made 3-point shots among centers in 2016-17 with 134. He followed that up with a fourth-place finish last season, knocking down 112. Meanwhile, the trio of Maker, Zeller and Henson combined for just 42 made 3-pointers last season.

Needless to say, Lopez will add a much-needed element to a team in need of perimeter shooting.
