Tyreke Evans had a productive 2017-18 campaign. Entering his 10th season, he should serve as a valuable asset for the Indiana Pacers.

At 29 years old, Tyreke Evans hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down. He put up solid numbers with the Memphis Grizzlies last season despite the final team record. Evans had the opportunity to explore his options on the free agency market and the Indiana Pacers didn’t waste any time coming to an agreement with him.

Evans signed a one-year, $12 million deal, with the Pacers adding some solid scoring to their backcourt depth. With Lance Stephenson off to the Los Angeles Lakers, the sixth man role was open for the taking. They still have Victor Oladipo, Cory Joseph and drafted UCLA Bruins guard Aaron Holiday with the 23rd pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, but Evans presence adds a whole different dynamic.

The Indiana Pacers were a game away from defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the 2018 NBA Playoffs. Ultimately, they ran out of juice in the scoring department in the backcourt outside of Victor Oladipo.

Oladipo averaged 22.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.4 steals per contest in the series. Darren Collison was solid at the point guard position, but he’s not the volume scorer that Tyreke Evans can be. Here’s a look at how Evans will fit with the Pacers’ roster in 2018-19.
