1. Miami Heat

Why not go back to the place you most recently called home? The Miami Heat won’t be the best team in the East next year, but they could finish within the top four.

As of now, they have Rodney McGruder slotted as their first 2-guard off the bench. McGruder is a gritty player, but Ellington’s shooting is the preferred skill. Although a super small lineup of Dion Waiters, Goran Dragic, Ellington, Richardson and Kelly Olynyk may never see the court, it would hypothetically be one of the top floor-spacing units in the association.

Miami could be saving their non-taxpayer mid-level exception ($8.6 million) for Dwyane Wade if he chooses to return. If not, there is a large chance Ellington re-signs here; something Yahoo! Insider Jordan Schultz has previously relayed.

With the market drying up, stay tuned in for some Wayne Ellington news to drop soon.
