1. How good will Donte DiVincenzo look?

The Milwaukee Bucks made an exciting pick for once in the NBA Draft, selecting Villanova guard Donte DiVincenzo last month in the first round. The sixth man became a household name among basketball fans after he tore through the Final Four and helped the Wildcats hoist their second title in three years.

DiVincenzo comes to the Bucks armed with two excellent nicknames — the “Big Ragu” because of his Italian heritage, and the “Michael Jordan of Delaware” for his fearless game — and plenty of upside. His path to being an impact player for the Bucks begins in Las Vegas.

Reports have come out that DiVincenzo may miss the start of NBA Summer League due to an unspecified injury. That will be disappointing for fans and the organization alike, as displaying what the rookie can do will be a key part of this time.

Once healthy, it is possible the Bucks will try him out at the 1 to see if he has the requisite playmaking skills to play some point guard for the team. If so they could look to move on from Matthew Dellavedova either this year or next.

His defensive abilities will also be on display over the next few games. Despite his lack of elite size, can he bother opposing guards? Will his propensity for high-leverage plays on both ends of the court continue against competition closer to the NBA-level?

In all, the most exciting player at NBA Summer League will be this year’s lottery picks, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty for every team present. The Milwaukee Bucks are looking to build on two straight years in the postseason. To do so they will need everyone — including those players on the Summer League roster — to step up and make an impact.
