Last season

Robinson suffered an ankle injury during training camp last season that wiped out nearly his entire year. He only played 25 games between the regular season and postseason. Averaging only 14.7 minutes per game, his raw counting stats weren’t that impressive. His per-36 minute numbers told a story that was a lot better though.

He averaged a career best in steals with 1.4 per-36. His 3-point shooting remained on par with his improved numbers at 41.2 percent. If he had been healthy all season, he would have battled with Bojan Bogdanovic for the starting gig on nights with elite offensive wings. Games against teams like Golden State Warriors or Cleveland Cavaliers could have seen him crack the starting lineup.

His health limited the Pacers last season and could cause an issue again for the Pistons this season. As previously stated, health has been his major Achilles heel in his career. He continued to show development in his career every year, last season included. Although he played limited minutes last year, Robinson showed the upside he possesses.
