2. Casspi’s a great shooter

As a team that’s ranked near the bottom in nearly every 3-point shooting category during the Grit-N-Grind era, the Grizzlies have been trying to adapt to the direction the league has taken.

Enter Omri Casspi, who’s a career 36.9 percent shooter from beyond the arc, able to stretch the court and catch fire quickly.

This is a guy that once went toe-to-toe with Stephen Curry way back in 2015, which shows that when he’s on, Casspi can stroke it with the best of them.

Memphis has needed shooters for the longest time, as the rough and tough style of play it built its success on is becoming less prominent by the second.

Casspi isn’t a high-volume shooter like some of the best in the game, but his ability to keep defenses honest will keep the court open for his teammates to work in space on the offensive end.
