It may not have been a head-turning signing, but Omri Casspi is a solid addition for a Memphis Grizzlies squad looking to return to the postseason.
After failing to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2010, the Memphis Grizzlies headed into this offseason looking to tweak the roster in order to compete once again.
It was no LeBron James signing, but Memphis added a quality rotation piece in Omri Casspi on a one-year deal, according to ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Casspi spent most of the 2017-18 season with the Golden State Warriors, appearing in 53 games while averaging 5.7 points before being cut in early April to make room for G League standout Quinn Cook.

This isn’t a deal that will be talked about across national television, but the Grizzlies definitely improved with the signing of Casspi, bringing in a veteran whose game suits exactly what the team has needed for quite some time.
