The Golden State Warriors were able to sign DeMarcus Cousins in free agency, making an already dominant team even more unfair.

The Golden State Warriors have put themselves squarely in the conversation as one of the greatest teams of all-time. They have defeated LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in three of the last four NBA Finals. They were within one victory of making that four consecutive victories, as they blew a 3-1 lead in 2016.

Golden State has an immensely talented roster. General manager Bob Myers has done an excellent job compiling talent. He has drafted extremely well, made the right decision in naming Steve Kerr as head coach and has been masterful working the cap.

Two offseasons ago, in 2016, the Warriors stunned the NBA world when they were able to land Kevin Durant. A 73-win team added arguably the greatest scorer in the NBA today. Last season the Warriors were pretty ho-hum in free agency, but this year, they once again are sending people into a frenzy.

According to Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports, the Dubs have agreed to a contract with free agent DeMarcus Cousins. Yes, the DeMarcus Cousins that was looking at a max deal before rupturing his Achilles this past season.

The kicker in the Warriors adding another all-world basketball player to the mix is how much it will cost. As first reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Warriors are landing Cousins for one year, $5.3 million.

Yes, Cousins is coming off of a serious injury and may not be ready until 2019. However, even if he comes back as a less dominant player than he was before the injury, say 80 percent, the Warriors are getting yet another All-Star caliber player.

The addition of Cousins is going to upset a lot of basketball fans. The daunting task of knocking off the Warriors just got tougher. Golden State will have the chance to use a lineup usually only seen in video games, an All-Star game or for Team USA in the Olympics. Having Cousins on the team is just plain unfair, and here are three reasons why.
