In the past, Kings fans have been willing to travel for Summer League, even when it’s held in Las Vegas. This year, Kings fans can enjoy Summer League action at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento for the first time. The California Classic will begin with a matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday and will also include games against the Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat.

The California Classic could be especially important for Sacramento as the city hopes to one day host the All-Star game. Although Summer League is on a much smaller scale, it’s important for Sacramento to prove that it can accommodate a three-day event that will bring visitors from out of town.

Fans can have a little bit of the All-Star weekend experience this week as the Kings will include a fan zone outside of the arena and live entertainment.
