Sacramento Kings: 5 potential free agent targets in 2018
4. Zach LaVine
Many Kings fans are not thrilled about rumors of the Kings having interest in Zach LaVine. However, he may be what the Kings need. Even if LaVine’s primary position is shooting guard, a position where the Kings are loaded, LaVine brings a skill set that would be hard for Sacramento to pass up.
LaVine’s biggest asset is his athleticism. On a team with the speedy De’Aaron Fox and a playmaker like Bogdan Bogdanovic, LaVine is the ideal fit. Instead of watching sloppy fastbreaks and missed layups, Kings fans would be getting somebody who can actually finish.
LaVine has averaged double-digit scoring in each of his four years in the league. Although he was injured for most of last season with the Chicago Bulls, he averaged 16.7 points and almost four rebounds per game.
With LaVine being a restricted free agent, The Chicago Tribune reported that the Kings could offer a four-year contract worth about $80 million, which the Bulls would have to match.
