Sacramento Kings: 2017-18 player grades for Bogdan Bogdanovic
Final grade
Despite being apart of a deep rookie class in Sacramento alongside Fox, Justin Jackson and Harry Giles, Bodgan Bodganovic proved to be arguably one the most complete players on the roster last season.
His versatility at the offensive end helped him rise from the depths of the bench into David Joeger’s rotation. His pace and style of play reminded many of his fellow countryman and former Kings great Peja Stojakovic, as Bogdanovic helped bring a sense of stability to a younger group of players and veterans in the midst of a rebuilding year.
"“The kid is unbelievable,” Kings power forward Zach Randolph told reporters. “He has a lot of confidence. The sky’s the limit. “I believe he can be an All-Star in this league.”"
Although the EuroLeague and Turkish League champion has a way to go before turning Randolph’s remarks into reality, Bogdanovic put together a season that showed flashes of just how great he can become in the near future.
His ability to impact the game either by scoring or creating for others — combined with his energy at the defensive end — helped elevate the spirit and play of his teammates. His willingness to take and hit shots late in games demonstrated that the young star is not afraid to make plays in the biggest moments.
Should he look to find and play with a level of aggression moving forward, then maybe Bogi could very well become an All-Star.
