3. Philadelphia 76ers

If Paul George wants to win a championship, the Sixers should be at the top of his list. With a very talented cast of young players and enough cap space to offer him a great contract, they should be a force to be reckoned with in the East for years to come.

The Sixers showed incredible improvement over the course of the regular season, finishing strong and making an inspired run into the postseason. The arrival of George would mean another valuable defensive piece for them as well as a veteran presence with a wealth of playoff experience.

Another reason this match works is that George would be a very good fit next to Ben Simmons. Simmons is a unique player because he is deadly with the ball in his hands but useless without it. George, on the other hand, plays well off the ball. Because of this these two would coexist very well together on the court.

In Indiana, George was the first option on offense. In Oklahoma City, he had to adjust to a more secondary role. If he ends up in Philadelphia, he will most likely also play a secondary role behind Joel Embiid. If he can accept his place in the pecking order and continue his high level of defense then he will be a great addition to a team that hasn’t come close to reaching its potential yet.
