Jerami Grant saw an increased role later in the season for the Oklahoma City Thunder due to the fact that he fit into the offense and was versatile on defense.
For the Oklahoma City Thunder and their head coach Billy Donovan, the scheme on offense is using movement to put pressure on the defense. Jerami Grant fits that mold and down the stretch during the end of the season, he was in the game for the Thunder over Carmelo Anthony.
Grant is a free agent this summer and it remains to be seen if he will be coming back. The Thunder traded for the extremely athletic Hamidou Diallo in the draft, who can replicate some of what Grant can do.
Grant had his highest points per game average at 8.4 since the 2015-16 year, when he scored 9.7 points per game. Grant is not a player that will fill up the stat sheet, but what he can do is play every position on defense and move around on offense to get easy shots.
Here is Jerami Grant’s player grade.
