Michael Dugger returns with another episode of the Hoops Habit Podcast, previewing the 2018 NBA free agency class and its most intriguing storylines.

With the most exciting time of the NBA calendar right around the corner, Michael Dugger is back with an episode of the Hoops Habit Podcast, sharing his thoughts on what the biggest names in the NBA may do this summer.

He begins, of course, with the LeBron James sweepstakes (0:40) after the King opted out of his contract to become an unrestricted free agent. It seems to be between staying with the Cleveland Cavaliers or taking his talent to California to join the Los Angeles Lakers.

After this, Dugger discusses the Paul George courtship between the Oklahoma City Thunder or fulfilling a childhood dream of joining the Lakers (8:45). He then weighs in on how the Lakers should approach the Kawhi Leonard sweepstakes and how they can learn from last year’s PG-13 situation by keeping their core intact to sign him for free next offseason (11:00).

He quickly dives into the DeAndre Jordan to the Dallas Mavericks rumor, and floats the idea of the Mavs returning the favor on him by pulling the plug on Jordan after he spurned them in 2015 free agency (16:00). Then, Dugger talks about the intriguing situation surrounding DeMarcus Cousins‘ free agency, who is coming off an Achilles tear with limited amounts of cap space in this market.

Dugger concludes by examining some of the lesser named free agents and their situations, such as Julius Randle (21:30), Aaron Gordon (22:40), Tyreke Evans (24:05), Marcus Smart (24:40), Clint Capela (25:30), and one of his favorite players of the summer in Jabari Parker (26:20).
