4. Joe Johnson

Continuing with our trend of picking up players that the Houston Rockets may be undervaluing, next up is Joe Johnson.

After a rough 2017-18 season where “Iso Joe” averaged a mere 6.8 points per game and shot an atrocious 27.6 percent from 3-point range, people are forgetting how valuable he was just one year before that.

Yes, Joe’s getting up there in age at 37 years old, but he’s shown he can still contribute in small quantities when called upon.

In the 2016-17 season, Johnson averaged a nice 9.2 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists in only 23.6 minutes per game for the Utah Jazz. He also shot a very solid 41.1 percent from 3-point range that season too.

Joe Johnson isn’t the kind of guy that’s going to turn around a franchise or even play big minutes. However, he is the kind of guy that the Wolves could use. They need to extend their rotation, which means adding valuable veterans that can play short stretches at a time. Johnson is the kind of guy that can enter a playoff game for a few minutes and you don’t have to worry – you know he won’t mess up. He’s just solid.

When it comes to the Wolves, they simply need more of these guys, especially if they can get him for the veteran’s minimum (which I would assume you can).
