2. Paul George

It was almost a year ago to this day when Paul George was traded from the Indiana Pacers to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

When George voiced his desire to be traded to the Lakers, the Pacers chose to send him elsewhere, and the Thunder gambled with the hopes that George would decide to stay in Oklahoma City.

With all the uncertainty surrounding other free agents, George was the one certainty — at least that’s what the Lakers thought.

A recent report from ESPN’s Royce Young detailed how PG-13 is leaning toward staying with the Thunder, despite his hometown roots in Los Angeles. George officially opted out of his contract to become a free agent, but he can still get the most money from the Thunder.

While many will be awaiting James’ decision, George could be the player to ignite the free agency firestorm. If he chooses to remain in OKC, several questions will need to be answered. If he chooses to come to L.A., the Lakers’ dream scenario will start to take shape.
