2. Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers may not have the pieces necessary to compete for a championship next season and beyond, but they do possess the one chip that other teams never will.

There’s a reason James came back in the summer of 2014. For LeBron, Cleveland — or more specifically North East Ohio — is home.

Since he entered the league in 2003, James has always felt a responsibility to lift up the greater Cleveland area, whether from his charitable donations to put kids through college or his mere presence helping out the local economy.

He’s always understood that he is a beacon of hope for kids growing up just like he did, looking for an example they could follow to get out and make a better life for themselves and their families.

LeBron is proud to be from Akron, and he loves the idea of his kids growing up where he did, wanting his oldest son to play basketball at his alma mater, St. Vincent-St. Mary.

His wife has family there and LeBron’s mother is there as well. It’s where he’s always felt the most comfortable

James has always been a family man, and when it comes time to make the decision, LeBron may have a hard time uprooting his family once again, especially when his two boys are old enough to the point where a move would affect them.

And who knows? Maybe the Cavs are able to bring in a Kemba Walker or possibly get lucky and land Kawhi Leonard.
