Following a dismal 27-55 season, the Chicago Bulls will need more help in order to compete for a playoff berth next season. Here’s a look at five potential free agency options.

On the heels of a 2017-18 campaign that resulted in just 27 wins, the Chicago Bulls didn’t do too badly with their selections in the 2018 NBA Draft. With the No. 7 pick, they selected Wendell Carter Jr. from Duke. While he did play Robin to Marvin Bagley III’s Batman, Carter still managed to produce decent numbers, averaging 13.5 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per contest.

The Bulls’ selection at the No. 22 spot could be considered somewhat anticlimactic, as they took Chandler Hutchison from Boise State. There were reports that an NBA team had made a promise to Hutchison, telling him that he would be selected late in the first round. Although the Bulls never confirmed such reports, their guy was still on the board and they were only too happy to take him.

After a slow start to his collegiate career, Hutchison finished off his senior year in grand fashion, posting averages of 20.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists per outing. He also knocked down 35.9 percent of his looks from beyond the arc. In other words, he will be a welcomed addition, to say the least.

With the draft now behind them, the Bulls have to contemplate whether they want to be major players in the free agency period that will soon be upon us. While the team isn’t interested in throwing big money away just for the sake of doing so, here are five players that could be worth their while.
