The Minnesota Timberwolves may have had a great 20187-18 season, but there are still things to work on in order for them to reach their ceiling.

This past season saw the Minnesota Timberwolves have their most successful campaign in well over a decade.

On the final day of the regular season, the team qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2004, the same year in which Kevin Garnett took home league MVP honors.

This broke a 13-year playoff drought in the Twin Cities, the second-longest in NBA history, and signaled to the NBA world that the Timberwolves are a team to look forward to for the next 5-10 years.

Despite the jubilation that came once the team reached the postseason, it was short-lived, as the top-seeded Houston Rockets dismantled them fairly easily in five games.

Making the playoffs was obviously a huge step for a team that hadn’t been there in what seems like forever, but with a roster loaded with potential, simply making it that far won’t be good enough moving forward.

The Wolves have two former No. 1 overall picks and a perennial All-Star on their team. They could be something special, but not before certain changes are made in order to put themselves in the best position to compete.
