The Los Angeles Lakers have some free agent situations to deal with on their own team outside of the chaos surrounding their outside endeavors.

Despite being the center of seemingly every rumor at this point of the offseason, the Los Angeles Lakers have plenty of decisions to make with plenty of last season’s minutes that are now hitting the free agency market.

These likely won’t be resolved until after LeBron James and Paul George sign their new contracts (wherever that may be), but there’s a chance some of these impending Lakers free agents could be on the roster for the 2018-19 season.

Like everything with the Lakers this summer, how many of their free agents return to Los Angeles comes down to available cap space and whether they hit or miss with their big targets, leaving the NBA, and this team, in a purgatory stage as to how to allot their great deal of cap space.

For this article, I will be taking a look at five of the Lakers’ free agents, and whether the team should bring them back, or let them walk and find another NBA team to join. What makes this slightly difficult is we don’t know how much cap space the Lakers will have when the time comes to make these decisions, but each of them fits a role on this franchise no matter who the team brings in.
