The Charlotte Hornets made a great draft night move for the franchise when they made a trade with the Atlanta Hawks for the 34th overall pick, Devonte’ Graham.
Graham is a North Carolina native who played four collegiate seasons at Kansas under legendary head coach Bill Self.
After a successful junior season playing alongside the Naismith College Player of the Year, Frank Mason III, Graham took the reins during his senior season and led the Jayhawks to a Final Four appearance. In his senior season, Graham averaged an impressive 17.3 points, 7.2 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game on 40.0 percent shooting from the field and 40.6 percent shooting from 3-point range.
