For the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Patrick Patterson, the 2017-18 season was one to forget. He was not able to do the things he was brought to the team to do.
The Oklahoma City Thunder signed Patrick Patterson to a three-year, $16.4 million deal before the start of the 2017-18 season. It is safe to say he did not live up to OKC’s expectations.
Patterson was only able to score in double digits in a handful of the 82 games played this season. In the playoffs, he was even more of a non-factor. He only scored in Game 3, when he scored a meager eight points.
Next year he will have to have a better season, as Paul George and Carmelo Anthony may not be on the team. They will expect him to be more of a factor and to hit open 3-pointers to give the Thunder more offense.
Hitting shots was a problem for the Thunder this past season and Patterson was not immune to the struggles. You might even say if Patterson had a better year, the Thunder’s whole season could’ve gone better.
Here is Patrick Patterson’s player grade for the 2017-18 campaign.
