1. He fits perfectly with his draft mate

Only one pick before they selected Robinson, the Clippers acquired Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, a lanky, defensive-minded point guard out of Kentucky. SGA shot 40.4 percent from deep during his lone college season, but the rest of his offensive game needs fixing.

Enter Robinson, who’s established himself as a capable ball-handler with an aggressive mindset that will allow him to thrive early on as a scorer.

Both Gilgeous-Alexander and Robinson appear to complement each other’s style of play very nicely, which should allow them to mesh on the court. Front offices always want to make sure they’re drafting a guy that fits within their roster, hoping no two players’ skills overlap too much that it creates friction within the locker room or on the court.

With this fresh backcourt, L.A. should have no problems in that department, with Gilgeous-Alexander being more of a defender and facilitator and Robinson being a possible No. 1 or No. 2 scoring option. This gives the Clippers a solid core to move forward with as they look to build their way back to relevance.
