3. Glenn Robinson III, SF

2017-18 salary: $1.5 million

It looked like the 2016-17 season was the beginning of a breakout for Glenn Robinson III, who is still best known for being the son of former pro Glenn “Big Dog” Robinson.

That year, GRIII had career-highs in minutes, points, rebounds, steals and blocks for the Indiana Pacers, and he won the Slam Dunk contest during All-Star Weekend.

But an ankle injury grounded Robinson for most of the 2017-18 season. By the time he made his debut in February, it was hard to crack the rotation on a Pacers team that was headed for the playoffs.

Robinson played just over 14 minutes per game in the regular season. In the playoffs, he only saw the court in two of Indiana’s seven playoff games, for a total of six minutes.

At 24 years old, Robinson is another young free agent who may be looking for a fresh start and a place to play, even if it’s with a team that is worse than the one he was on. The Pistons could use his athleticism at the small forward position.
