4. Curry breaks records in Game 2 of the Finals

Since his rise to superstardom, Stephen Curry has done nothing but cement his legacy as the greatest 3-point shooter the league has ever seen.

It’s not simply about the efficiency with which he shoots the ball. Rather, it’s the degree of difficulty on attempts that look so easy coming off his fingertips.

It seems like he owns virtually every 3-point record, and the ones he doesn’t will be his with time.

In Game 2 of the NBA Finals, Curry claimed another, making 9-of-17 shots from beyond the arc, breaking Ray Allen‘s record for most 3s in a Finals game set in 2010, where he nailed eight 3-pointers against the Lakers, also in Game 2.

There are some historians of the game that haven’t bestowed the 3-point title unto Curry, believing Allen still holds the crown.

Comparing both performances, it’s hard to fathom how, as the degree of difficulty with which Curry shoots the ball far supersedes that of Allen’s shot selection.

He may not get the respect he deserves due to his slight frame and quick rise to prominence, but failing to acknowledge Curry as the greatest shooter there ever was is simply disrespectful at this point.

Don’t believe the title is his? No matter. Just watch all the other 3-point record fall in the coming years.
