Whether the Cleveland Cavaliers keep LeBron James or lose him, Collin Sexton was the right choice for a franchise uncertain of its immediate future.

It can be argued that the most important pick of the 2018 NBA Draft was the Cleveland Cavaliers‘ No. 8 overall choice in the first round.

Every move the Cavs have made over the past year could have an impact on the decision of their superstar, LeBron James (who also happens to be the best player in the league), regarding his professional future.

If the Cavs impressed LeBron with their first round draft pick, it may help convince him to stay. If their selection was a letdown, it might make it easier for him to leave. His decision could shift the NBA’s power balance and set the course of the league for the foreseeable future because, well, he’s LeBron.

Collin Sexton, the 19-year-old point guard from the University of Alabama who the Cavs selected, is an impressive pick, a great player and a marketable personality.

LeBron hasn’t commented publicly on Sexton, but there is plenty to like about Sexton — even if the Cavs can’t keep their “King” on the court. Here are five reasons why “Young Bull” was a good pick.
