With back-to-back first round picks in the 2018 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Clippers did their homework in order to acquire their backcourt of the future.

In the deal that sent Blake Griffin to the Detroit Pistons, the Los Angeles Clippers acquired an extra first round pick to go along with their own.

Those picks ended up at 12th and 13th overall, giving the Clippers a chance to draft two players with the potential to contribute for the next decade.

Los Angeles was busy during the draft, trading the 12th pick and two future second round picks to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for the 11th selection.

Both teams essentially drafted for each other, with Charlotte sending Kentucky guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to L.A. and the Clippers sending Michigan State forward Miles Bridges to the Hornets.

With their other selection, the Clippers took guard Jerome Robinson from Boston College, solidifying their backcourt for years to come.

How good both of these incoming rookies will be revealed over time, but for now, all we can do is analyze how good they can become wearing Clippers red, white and blue.
