Brooklyn Nets: 2018 NBA Draft grades

In the midst of several trades around the NBA, the Brooklyn Nets managed to stand pat at Nos. 29 and 40. We grade the picks, both of which provide promise going forward.

Despite the perpetual need for every team in the NBA to trade their draft picks, the Brooklyn Nets stood their ground. Although this might be considered boring to the casual fan, keeping these picks is imperative to a rebuilding team.

As many would expect of this front office, the Nets did a great job with such low-level assets. The team’s recent history of shrewd selections falls in line with how they approached this draft.

Additionally, it is imperative to say that both of Brooklyn’s picks in this draft are via the DeMarre Carroll trade. I previously explained how this trade was beneficial to the Nets in a vacuum, and the value they accumulated from these picks is significant.
