2018 NBA Draft: Biggest winners and losers
By Connor Harr
The 2018 NBA Draft has finally concluded. With all the speculation now over, it is time to see which teams won and lost in the draft last night.
The 2018 NBA Draft started out with the Phoenix Suns selecting Deandre Ayton out of Arizona, which was no surprise.
Throughout most of the lottery, many picks went over as close to planned as you can get for the uncertainty that comes along with the NBA Draft. The biggest story of the lottery may have been Michael Porter Jr. slipping all the way to the Denver Nuggets at No. 14.
With all the top heavy picks talk of this draft, many prospects that I think will end up being contributors were late first and second round picks. Their were no blockbuster trades for Kawhi Leonard, and the Memphis Grizzlies still have not pitched Chandler Parsons‘ massive contract.
Overall, 60 young men’s dreams came true last night. That is really what all of this about. All their hard work throughout their young lives has finally paid off, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t judge teams’ performances to figure out how everyone did.
With that in mind, it’s time to examine which teams made all the right moves and which made the wrong moves in the 2018 NBA Draft with the night’s biggest winners and losers.
