3. Jacob Evans, Golden State Warriors (No. 28)

Another year, another steal for the Golden State Warriors. It’s amazing that the league keeps letting this happen. Granted, in the top 28 they were bound to have good options. Still, in Jacob Evans they had one of the class’ toughest defenders.

They also add one of this year’s best two-way players. Following in the path of Jordan Bell and Patrick McCaw, he seems to value both sides of the ball. Is it a coincidence the Dubs have three rings and draft like this?

Anyhow, Evans is a phenomenal fit. He’s the apparent heir to Andre Iguodala, who the Warriors can keep on the cheap for four years. Evans is ready to contribute right away, just like Bell. His jumper got a little tweak, but his defense, shot and passing make for a great package. They really are light years ahead.
