5. Dzanan Musa, Brooklyn Nets (No. 29)

Within this group, you’re going to see a theme of players taken with the last 5-10 picks of the first round. Dzanan Musa supposedly would’ve gone higher if he were willing to be stashed abroad.

With a big tank ahead of them, the Brooklyn Nets are in no hurry to make players wait. Musa comes in as a great shooting forward who can space the floor around Brooklyn’s guards. He should have an easy time right away thriving mostly on catch-and-shoot opportunities.

Still a young teenager, this walking back is a nice buy-low swing from the Nets. We’ve seen general manager Sean Marks hit on Caris LeVert and Jarrett Allen in similar ranges. This seems another player that could work as a nice investment. Bring Musa over, give him minutes and don’t worry about the losses.
