The Golden State Warriors have established a dynasty. What goals should they have for an offseason where they seek to continue their dominance?

The Golden State Warriors have had active offseasons each of the past two years, from adding Kevin Durant in 2016 to making crucial decisions about their bench a year ago. This offseason will be about the smaller moves on the margin that can maintain a dynasty.

The headlines are all about the stars, and they get the accolades and the hardware. They are on the magazine covers, getting the exclusive interviews, and filming commercials for shoes and water filters. But without the smaller pieces, the role players, the backups and the prospects, even the best teams will dull with time and eventually fall apart.

That isn’t to say the Warriors only have to deal with the back half of their roster. Back-to-back Finals MVP Kevin Durant can opt out of his contract and seek a new deal, for either more money, more years or both. Elite shooting guard Klay Thompson can begin extension discussions this summer as well.

With LeBron James on the market, Kawhi Leonard seeking a trade and young, hungry teams in Boston and Philadelphia only getting better, the pressure is on in Oakland to keep running at peak condition. To do so, they have a variety of goals this offseason to pursue. We begin with the NBA Draft, one of the Warriors’ favorite places to make moves.
