Final grade

When Rozier came off the bench, he was having a solid season, but nothing worthy of getting major attention. When Kyrie Irving went down with an injury, Rozier became a major player on this Boston team.

For that, his season performance was a lot better and it showed us flashes of what we can expect from him next season and even in the future. Both he and Irving will be free agents in the summer of 2019 and it’ll be interesting to see what paths the Celtics take on this.

They could decide to go cheaper and only sign Rozier or ultimately decide to ship one of those guys out before that day comes. It’ll be a storyline to follow, but for now I think it’s safe to say that we can appreciate what he did for the Celtics this season.

When they needed it most, he came up big, especially in the playoffs. The Cleveland series in the Eastern Conference Finals was a different story, but as long as Rozier fixes up his offensive game more and stays consistent, there isn’t any reason that he can’t become a great player.
