4. Donte DiVincenzo, Los Angeles Lakers — No. 25

One of the steadiest climbers up draft boards and mocks drafts has been the 21-year-old wing, and Villanova teammate of the previously mentioned Mikal Bridges, Donte DiVincenzo.

The Michael Jordan of Delaware or Big Ragu (a couple of his aliases) burst onto the national scene with a 31-point performance off the bench in the NCAA championship game vs. Michigan, but he was an impact player throughout the tournament.

For the season, DiVincenzo averaged 13.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He shot an efficient 40.1 percent on 5.3 3-point attempts per game and got those 13.4 points on only 9.8 shots per game. This is the type of well-balanced player that can pass, shoot, rebound, create for himself and fit into any offense that teams covet.

The Los Angeles Lakers would be the perfect fit for his skill-set at pick No. 25 given their up-tempo, share-the-ball system. The Lakers don’t need any ball-dominant players, but are thin on the wing after Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart, another former Villanova teammate. DiVincenzo would run the second unit with Hart, giving them two do-it-all guards off the bench that can play big minutes if needed.

DiVincenzo is a great athlete as well and can play some solid defense. He understands the game and played multiple seasons in the best college system at Villanova, making the transition to the NBA as easy as it comes given the NBA system Nova runs under Jay Wright.

DiVincenzo is full of confidence and doesn’t shy away from limelight. He has played with other stars in the college game and would fit perfectly alongside Ingram, Hart, Kuzma and Lonzo Ball with his ability to impact the game without taking a large number of shots or having the ball in his hands. He should be there for the Lakers to pick when they’re on the clock at the tail-end of the first round.
