Los Angeles Lakers: Latest free agency rumors on LeBron James, Paul George, more

The latest Los Angeles Lakers rumors seem to suggest the franchise is in perfect position to add a superstar or two during 2018 NBA free agency. Whether or not they’re true is another story.

We’re less two weeks away from the start of 2018 NBA free agency, and the rumor mill is working overtime to deal with all of the whispers being heard around the league. Of course, as is to be expected, most of them involve the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James.

A few days ago, it was the potential pursuit of Kawhi Leonard and a dream lineup that consisted of James, Leonard and Paul George. For the time being, though, that idea has been placed squarely on the backburner. Now, our attention has turned back to Magic Johnson‘s pending pursuit of the King and what the Lakers’ odds actually are of inking him next month.

Based on the latest rumors, it’s anyone’s guess what the future has in store for us come July. When the first of the month rolls around, the flood gates seem destined to burst open. That’s not to say money will be flowing freely across the NBA, but instead that some of the league’s top talent could very well be swapping out one jersey for another.

Put simply, it’s going to be organized chaos. Then again, isn’t that what we’ve come to expect from just about every NBA offseason nowadays?
