The Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James have been linked for some time. Now that the season is over, the speculation continues to spark debate on where James will sign this offseason. Here are three reasons James will choose to suit up for the Lakers.
We are still a couple of weeks away from the official start of NBA free agency and a few days away from the 2018 NBA Draft, but the LeBron James-to-the-Los Angeles Lakers rumor mill has been in full swing for months.
While every team in the league would love to have James on its roster, there are only a handful who have a realistic shot at signing the King. Among his potential suitors, the Lakers are the favorites, according to gambling odds.
While the Cleveland Cavaliers will do whatever is in their power to keep James, the way their season ended undoubtedly left a sour taste in his mouth. The Cavaliers are also locked into several big contracts for the next few years, leaving the front office with little wiggle room.
The Houston Rockets, Philadelphia 76ers and the Cavaliers seem to be the biggest threat to the Lakers in acquiring James’ services.
