C. Texas. Mohamed Bamba. 5. player. 79. Most years, Mohamed Bamba would probably go first overall. Getting him fifth is an absolute steal for the Dallas Mavericks. Bamba was rarely allowed to be a roll man at Texas. With Dennis Smith Jr., they’ll torch NBA defenses for the next decade. Bamba is incredibly bright, confident and has worked on his game with beloved trainer Drew Hanlen. His jumper is improved, which opens up his massive ceiling. His unbelievable wingspan and standing reach may allow him to be like Rudy Gobert on defense eventually. If Bamba’s on the board on draft night, Dallas should pull the trigger.
