With the 60th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, the Philadelphia 76ers could select one of the following underrated, overlooked prospects with serious upside.

The 2018 NBA Draft is going to be an exciting one for the Philadelphia 76ers. While they don’t have a top-five pick, they do currently own six overall selections, including two in the first round.

Up to this point in the pre-draft process, most of the focus has been on figuring out what the 76ers will do with those two first-round picks (No. 10 and No. 26). However, people seem to be overlooking the fact that those four second round picks can still be valuable, even if it’s highly unlikely they keep them all.

With that in mind, I’ve decided to take a look at a few candidates for Philadelphia’s final pick, and the last pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. It may seem like the No. 60 overall pick isn’t worth a whole lot considering the limited talent and potential available at that point in the draft. As we’ve seen in the past, though, it’s far from a throw-away.

Just ask Isaiah Thomas, who went from an underappreciated, undersized point guard to a star after the Sacramento Kings gave him an opportunity as the final pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. The last selection doesn’t often develop into a quality contributor, but that doesn’t mean the 76ers can’t turn it into a productive piece of their roster.

The odds of that happening would be heightened if they spent the No. 60 overall pick on one of the following five players. Some are former top recruits who fizzled during college, while others are underrated prospects who simply need the right situation to unlock their potential.

Either way, they all belong on Philadelphia’s radar with the final choice of the 2018 NBA Draft.
