1. Wayne Ellington, Miami Heat

Known as “The Man with the Golden Arm” courtesy of Heat TV announcer Eric Reid, Ellington has simply been getting better with age since arriving in Miami.

Having just completed his second season with the Heat, Ellington had played with six teams in seven seasons prior to arriving on South Beach. However after embracing the famed Heat culture, and getting into the shape of his life, Ellington has now made a name for himself as one of the deadliest marksmen in the league.

Averaging a career-high 26.5 minutes per game last season, Ellington also registered a career high in points at 11.2 per game while still maintaining a terrific 39.2 percent shooting clip from 3-point range. Over the course of the season, Ellington’s 7.5 attempts per game from long range ranked seventh in the league, a true testament to Ellington’s constant movement and ability to get off his shots despite limited time and space.

Possessing many similar traits to Redick on the offensive end, Ellington was assisted on a whopping 88.8 percent of his made field goals last season, with Redick returning a rate of 83.2 percent assisted.

While he’s still just 30 and in the prime of his career, Ellington doesn’t have quite the standing over his career as Redick. As a result, his contract value is unlikely to match that of Redick’s.

With the Heat possessing an extremely tight salary cap situation of their own, there’s every chance Ellington will be forced to depart Miami this summer. So in the unfortunate event Redick doesn’t return for a followup season, the Sixers should be looking to make Ellington a high priority this summer.
