With the impending uncertainty of the free agency period, here are three potential replacements for the Philadelphia 76ers in regards to J.J. Redick.

The Philadelphia 76ers currently have every intention of signing veteran marksman J.J. Redick to a contract extension this summer.

After compiling a career-year in his 12th season in the league, the feeling is mutual as it pertains to Redick extending his stay this summer. At his season-ending exit interview, Redick was upbeat about his experience thus far as a Sixer:

"“This was probably my favorite year of my career. Playing in Philly is its own experience, and our fans, the city, the buzz about sports, and about this team was amazing….It’s a mutual appreciation, and I’m sure we all hope that I am back….In terms of financial, that’s something that every free agent has to weigh.”"

However, when it comes to the craziness of free agency, as Brian Windhorst of ESPN entailed when trying to predict LeBron Jamesmovements this summer:

"“Anything is possible.”"

While he signed last season for a one-year, $23 million deal, Redick is soon to turn 34, meaning this could be his last real chance at signing a contract of significant value. With the recent news of Kawhi Leonard wanting out of San Antonio, combined with the expected announcement of James wanting out of Cleveland, there’s no guarantee Redick will be able to command the money he’s seeking in the City of Brotherly Love should the Sixers somehow become successful in luring this superstar duo.

So in the event that Redick and the franchise are unable to come to terms this summer, here are three potential replacements the Sixers should consider as an alternative.
