1. The double-digit comeback in Oakland

During a contest in which things appeared they would go awry at the onset, the Rockets would find away to weather the storm by withstanding multiple runs, and fighting back in one of the NBA’s toughest road environments to keep their championship hopes alive.

In a game that was eerily reminiscent of opening night, James Harden poured in a game-high 30 points while Chris Paul chipped in with 27 points of his own to help the Rockets draw even in the 2018 Western Conference Finals, earning a 95-92 victory against the Golden State Warriors in Game 4 at the Oracle Arena.

"“Our team is resilient,” Rockets forward P.J. Tucker told reporters after Houston’s win. “We fight. We lost by 40 [in Game 3] and nobody panicked…we just play.”"

Although Houston would eventually fall in its quest to try and dethrone Golden State, the performance in Game 4 showed exactly why some national experts regarded them as true contenders for a championship.

The Rockets, who trailed by as many as 12 points in the first and third quarters, managed to march back into the game on both occasions with the help of their two All-Stars, who combined to score 29 out of their 57 points in the second half while also playing critical roles on defense. That helped Houston hold the world champions to their worst shooting performance late in the final frame.

They also made some history in the process, as the Rockets became the first team ever in the history of the Kevin Durant era to win a playoff game in Oakland, and force Golden State past five games in a best-of-seven series that came all the way down to the very end.
